Iran's air defenses on the map
The air-defense layer on the Mahsa Alert map shows reported positions of anti-air systems and radar sites across Iran. The information is collected from citizen reports and open sources and verified where possible.
Why air-defense locations matter
In air conflicts, air-defense systems and radars are among the first targets struck. Living or traveling near these sites raises the risk of collateral harm. Knowing their approximate positions helps you keep your distance from high-risk areas during periods of tension.
Strikes in recent years have repeatedly hit air-defense positions, including those inside cities.
How this data is collected
Users anonymously report system deployments or air-defense fire on the map. The review team cross-checks reports against other reports and open sources, merges duplicates, and adds unverified positions with a clear tag.
Note: air-defense deployments move. Check the report date next to each position and never treat this data as definitive.
If you are near one of these areas
Enable Mahsa Alert notifications so urgent alerts reach you, stay away from windows during periods of tension, and leave early if an evacuation warning is issued. If you see a new deployment, report it on the map.
