The Record of a Three-Week War
This interactive report tells the story of 640 recorded strikes across Iran: what was targeted, where, and when. The data is gathered from community reports and public sources, and every entry is verified by hand before it is recorded.
Key findings
- Where it concentrated. More than 25 provinces were hit in total, but Tehran province alone accounted for about 40 percent of the record, roughly 4 in every 10 strikes.
- Tehran city leads by far. With 181 recorded strikes, the capital alone makes up more than a quarter of the total, about eight times the next city, Isfahan, at 22. Sanandaj, Shiraz, Rey and Karaj follow.
- A three-week peak. Most of the record is compressed into a three-week window. The heaviest single day was 28 February 2026, with 65 recorded strikes.
- Time of day. By local time, 41 percent of strikes came in the afternoon.
- What was hit. Most recorded entries targeted military installations or government buildings rather than homes or residential areas. Another 23 targeted specific military or government individuals, and 50 recorded only a location, with no target type assumed.
Method
Each dot on the map is a single recorded strike. Reports arrive three ways: anonymous submissions in the app, the Telegram channel and bot, and public sources. Before an entry appears on the public map it is reviewed by hand, with duplicates, personal information and unverifiable reports removed. That makes this record smaller than the true number of events, so it should be read as a floor, not a complete count.
